A lifetime of travel and collecting anything old, odd, and unusual evolved into creating jewelry and folk art. I have been selling my work at shows, galleries, shops and fundraisers on the East and West coasts and in artisan shops for many years.
Always on the lookout for unusual pieces in places like Italy, Morocco, Bermuda, Aruba, England, Turkey, France and across the US, Canada and parts of Mexico, I never get bored with the hunt! I may keep them until they decide what to become. Up-cycling and recycling are also a passion. I guess I am always looking at objects to see what else they can become.
We raised our family in the Victorian city of Melrose, MA where I became a part of the growing art community, participating in many shows and events there.
My yearly perennial plant swaps and love of gardening led to the creation of garden adornments and wind chimes. Although the family homestead in Melrose remains within our family, we now live at the oldest public beach in USA near Boston. Looking out at the ever-changing ocean and weather has been so inspiring.
I consider myself a ‘folk artist’ in many ways and am always experimenting with new materials and techniques so the results will be truly one of a kind.
It is an honor that many artists are drawn to my jewelry and adornments. Creating is a must in some small way every day! I am grateful for my wonderful artist friends on the East and West coasts!!!
